About Me.

LUKE SAXON / PHOTOGRAPHER & VISUAL ARTIST

I'm Luke Saxon, a Manchester based photographer and visual artist, and the person behind Circle Studios.

My work sits somewhere between commercial photography and contemporary art. With over ten years of experience behind the camera, I've developed an approach that brings together photography, creative direction and experimental image making.

Alongside photographing people, places and brands, I work with processes such as photographic collage, cyanotype and printmaking. This more hands-on way of working has become an important part of my practice, allowing me to explore different ideas and create imagery that goes beyond the conventional.

I'm a studio holder at Richard Street Studios in Rochdale and regularly work at Hot Bed Press in Manchester, where I develop my printmaking practice and experiment with different techniques and materials. Having access to these creative spaces allows me to continually develop new work and bring different approaches into my commercial projects.

Over the years, I've worked with independent brands, creative businesses, galleries and organisations on everything from commercial photography and bespoke artwork to exhibitions and publications.

Circle Studios brings these different areas of my practice together, offering a flexible and collaborative approach to each project. Whether I'm working to a brief or developing something from the beginning, I'm interested in making work that's considered, original and visually engaging.

I'm always open to new projects, collaborations and conversations.
